There is a silver lining among today’s COVID-19 tally from the old country. The number of those in need of intensive care has gone down by more than 33% from the previous day. There being the weekend that might be a factor but that was not the case in previous weekends.
I can’t stress enough for you beloved countrymen/women who live here, Canada and Europe how it is becoming so dangerous it is to venture outside to crowded place without face masks. That is even if you are fully vaccinated and even the same hour you are tested negative. The situation is so dire. Remember once the pathogen is inside you or your family it may/will not leave empty handed. You should also remember the fact that you are not only responsible for you only but also for others near and around you. I know you may be distracted/befuddled by what is going on in Afghanistan but that should not take precedence from you and your families/community’s wellbeing. Wear face masks, sanitize/wash your hands and keep that guy at the safe distance from you. This scourge seems too clever enough to outsmart the best of the best in the scientific community by reinventing itself. Who knows what the next mutation will look like? Nobody knows. It may leave us alone and go away like the swine flu and SARS of 2002 or it may just stick around even as something vaccine resistant. Grandpa will keep pestering you now!
