One other number I have been watching for quite a while is the 7-day average of the percentage total daily tests vs. daily positive results. That percentage used to be 10%. On May 21, 2021 that number was 9.6% and today it is way down to 3.6%. So both daily positive counts and percentage on 7-day average basis have gone tumbling down. That is excellent accomplishments that our historians should include in their narratives. Still it is no time to let the guards down over there. I see an uptick in the neighboring Kenya. Almost all North African countries including Egypt are going through a surge these days. There is also good news that came out of the recent G7 leaders meeting where they made a pledge to donate a billion vaccines to developing countries. We will see how that will pan out.
