On Sunday, Mustefa Mohammed, president of the regional state, and other senior members of this administration visited the scene of the accident.
The incident has reportedly shocked business owners in the shopping plaza.
Somali region communication bureau reported that Mustafa Mohammed met with the business community impacted by the accident and expressed consoling words.

There had been a similar fire accident in a shopping mall in the city about three years ago. At the time, Mustafa Mohammed formed a Task Force to identify the damage to chart out support for those impacted by it.
