Ethiopian Conflicts expanded to more areas as Afar regional state president is claiming that the Eritrean forces are directly involved in the conflict controlling areas in the region. Airforce base reportedly attacked

TORONTO, Canada — More than a week since the latest escalation, the conflict in Northern Ethiopia is now expanding to areas in the Afar and Amhara regions.
The Ethiopian Defense Force carried out drone strikes in the Tigray region for several months now targeting what it claims to be military targets and TPLF forces. However, credible reports from the region revealed that schools and health centers were also targeted in the attack.
The TPLF large-scale response did not come until days after the formation of 7 armed groups,Alliance For Survival. On September 23, TPLF launched a major offensive in the parts of the Afar region adjacent to the Tigray region while seizing three airports in the region which prompted Ethiopian Airline’s Flight cancellations. TPLF detained Federal Police members who were posted at the airports and Ethiopian Airlines Staff , and their families.
ICRC Evacuation
The ICRC managed to evacuate 161 persons including Federal Police members, Ethiopian Airlines staff and their families following negotiation with authorities in Tigray. They were transported in ICRC labelled buses to Semera, seat of the Afar region of Ethiopia.
Intensified Drone Strikes and Artillery Shelling
Ethiopian Defense Force intensified drone strikes and artillery shelling targeting towns and cities in the Tigray region. Sources from Tigray confirmed that the Tigray Mass Media Agency (Tigrai Television) building in Mekelel was hit.
Artillery shelling targeting towns including in Mayhew claimed lives. Hundreds of civilians are reportedly wounded. MSF on Tuesday reported that 720 civilians wounded due to the escalated conflict are admitted to hospitals in Korem, Alamata, and Shire towns.
The Ethiopian Defense Force, which is supported by Tigray Peace Forces, a group that broke away from TPLF forces about a year ago, claims that they took control of Alamata town, according to an Aljazeera report. The town is said to have a military strategic significance and is located 120 kilometers south of Mekelle, seat of Tigray regional administration.
According to the source, TPLF forces seem to be advancing in the Afar region. The controlled Erebti town.
Eritrean troops in Afar region
Awol Arba, president of Afar regional state, on Tuesday claimed that Eritrean Troops are now in the Afar region with the aim to cut off Ethiopia’s Import and Export line via Djibouti.
He told Aljazeera reporter that Eritrean forces are directly involved in the conflict controlling about two-third of the region, positioning themselves to cut the road linking to Djibouti. No official response from the Eritrean government so far. However, private Eritrean news sources like Tesfa News are reporting that it is the Afar opposition Forces taking control towns one after another in the region.
Reported Attack on Ethiopian Airforce base in Debrezeit
Media outlets like Ethiopian Media Service (EMS), report that a drone attack targeted Ethiopian Airforce this week. At least two Ethiopian Airforce staff were reportedly killed. One of the victims, according to the source, is identified as Kassahun Lemma, a senior helicopter technician. It is unclear where the alleged drone strike was launched from.
The Ethiopian Airforce denied that there was an attack.

Well what I heard seems to be somewhat true about the bombing of the main Ethiopian Air Force base in Bishoftu. If it reported on this esteemed website then it was verified and therefore true. In this day and age of proliferated portable drones, they can be owned and used by any group. There is no need to deploy a large army to siege opponents. You can bomb any target from safe distance. Just look at the messed up Yemen. Houthis are a minority of less than 35% of the population there. They have shown the ability to terrorize people as far as Israel. Their main weapons are drones and missiles. Targeting Bishoftu shows drones are now in the hands of the armed groups besides the regime. Then you can forget and say goodbye to that country. Btw, Bishoftu is the area where the Ethiopian Airlines is building a mega international airport.
Also Bishoftu is just a stone throw away from Shimeles Abdisa seat Adama where he was just elected as the president of the Oromia Region for the next 5 years not by secret ballets by hand claps. It reminded one video clip I saw decades ago that showed how Mao was elected as the chairman of the PRC at the general assembly. His nomination was red by one of his lapdogs and was approved by hand claps. Those in the back of assembly hall did not seem to be too noisy in their hand clapping. So he stood up and started gazing at them when suddenly their clapping became louder than those in the front section. No secret ballots but hand clapping still makes you president. I guess. What do I know?

Please try to confirm the news before trying to tell us about something never happened. No Attack on Ethiopian Air force in Bishoftu. Even if that is the case which part made you so excited to report such news? As always my expectation is lower for Ethiopian writers, politicians except Dr Abiy. BBC, Reuters, AP, Al Jazeera and other international media outlets are now reporting a loud explosion in the capital of that nation Addis/Finfinne last night right after midnight local time. Residents in part of the capital have told these news medias that they were jolted by very loud explosion but it happened only once. It is suspected to be a drone attack. This is the beginning of Addis/Finfinne to become the Mogadishu of 1991. In this day and age of proliferated military grade portable drones, humanity has never seen its very existence threatened. It is going to take divine intervention to prevent seeing the entire population of the capital more than 5 million of them on the move. It is going to be a scorched earth warfare by both sides. Then the conflict will spread engulfing the entire Horn of Africa. This is apparently a terrorist act. This will be the result of the behavior of the stubborn leaders of both sides.
