Toronto – Undergraduate students across the country are writing exit exams.  Over 190,000 students from 51 universities  are writing the exam in 87 exam centers.

Of the total number, 88,000 are writing the exam again, according to TikVah, a popular Telegram channel in Ethiopia.

IT is also indicated that the exam is for 238 undergraduate programs and it is  offered online.

Some electronic devices including cell phones, calculators, smart watches – among others are not allowed.

Ethiopia has been facing problems in connection with the quality of education. Last year, the number of students who reportedly scored 50 percent or above was only about 40 percent.

The Ministry introduced a range of measures over the past  few years with the aim to end exam cheating and positively impact the declining quality of education.
