Toronto – Two rival Fano groups operating in the Gondar region of Ethiopia have agreed to leave animosity behind.
They were operating under two Fano umbrella Fano Organizations – Amhara Fano National Force (AFNF) and Amhara Fano Popular Organization (AFPO).
There were times when the groups under those two organizations experienced skirmishes to the point that there were instances where Fano leaders were killed.
On Tuesday, they announced that they have resolved to end the enmity and stand together for “Amhara cause.” There is a noticeable anticipation that the two groups will eventually unite to operate under a single military command.
Fano Yohannes Nigussu, Public relation of the Amhara Fano National Force, Belay Zeleke Command, spoke to Anchor Media on the peace agreement.
