Toronto – Ethiopian Sports Federation in North America (ESFNA) 42nd edition, ESFNA 2025, kicked off on Saturday at the Federal Way Memorial Stadium in Seattle.
“The tradition continues! We are so excited to kick off this year’s tournament in Federal Way. Here is the full match schedule for today, Saturday, June 28th. Get ready for a beautiful day of celebrating our community, culture, and love for the beautiful game. Be sure to come out and support your city!…” ESFNA wrote on its social media page.
The tournament will continue until July 5.
On the first day of the event eight soccer matches were administered (see infographic below). This is the qualifying stage of the game. The final game will be played on July 5.
ESFNA event brings tens of thousands of Ethiopians from across North America every year. Apart from the soccer tournament, the week-long event features Ethiopian culture. In the vending area, Ethiopian businesses promote their products. Dozens of Ethiopian Restaurants showcase rich Ethiopian flavors.
Music is another big component of the event. This year ESFNA announced that Kuku Sebsebe and Tsehaye Yohannes, legendary Ethiopian singers, are performing at the event.
ESFNA has featured Jambo Real Estate, DMC Real Estate, Palm Real Estate, North Shore and Wanaw as sponsors of the event.
