Coronavirus-related deaths in Ethiopia reached 5,001. Daily death rates were over 30 for several days. The pandemic is spreading at an alarming rate. Low number of tested people and high number of new confirmed cases has become a trend for several weeks. Over the past 24 hours, for example, more than 15 % of the people tested for the disease are confirmed to be positive for COVID 19.
