“Join Fano Forces in any part of the Amhara with your arms. You will be received with open hands and get security guarantees” – Zemene Kassie
Borkena
Toronto – Zemene Kassie, leader of the Fano Groups in Gojjam area Amhara region and also a member of Amhara Fano National Force executive committee, on Sunday conveyed calls on anti-riot and militia groups deployed in the region for many months now.
In a letter he shared, via the head of the political division of Fano forces in Gojjam – Asres Mare Damtie , he highlighted that the series of intensive military campaigns against “Amhara have failed.” The latest one of “operation tide.”
Zemene alleges the operation was intended to kill Fano leaders, including himself, and that Abiy Ahmed himself led the operation live with plans to mobilize state owned propaganda, as he calls it, outlets and paid online cadres to project an image of victory over Fano. Fano forces in different parts of the Amhara region have been making claims that the government’s last operation was reversed. Divisions from different parts of the region were rather claiming significant military gains and even seizure of large quantities of firearms from government forces.
Disappointed with the result, Zemene continued, “Abiy Ahmed’s regime has been implementing plans to make the Amhara people fight one another.” The Fano leader sees the deployment of the region’s anti-riot and militia forces as one that is intended to implement that plan.
He also highlighted how Abiy Ahmed’s administration deliberately made these forces vulnerable by not giving them heavy weaponry shields in the operations which led to. According to him, there were many casualties. According to him, many of the casualties from the recent operations were anti-riots and militia.
But again Zemene sees the high number of casualties on the side of anti-riot and militia rather as part of a destruction plan against Amhara.
“We believe that collaborating and trusting one another is a historical obligation to foil the destruction plan of Amhara people,” he said.
Finally he called up these forces to desert the government and join the nearest division of Fano forces in the Amhara region.

As it the same with many of our sensible Amhara brothers and sisters, I’m not sure what this man and bands of young gullible men and women want or want to achieve besides carrying out raids of what can only be defined as banditry. Their contemporary dreadlocks donning thug in Oromia is doing the same thing. What do you want, young man? Do you have any issue that can not be addressed amicably? And above all, it is reported that you have your reps in Asmara. How did that happen? I am asking you these questions promising you my full support only if you abandon your destructive violent ways and resort to peaceful means to resolve all issues common to our noble Amharas.
Make that:
Do you have any issue that can not be addressed peacefully and amicably?
