Addis Ababa – The U.S Embassy Addis Ababa hosted a special event in Addis Ababa highlighting advanced technologies and its growing impact on security and governance in Ethiopia with Troy Group, a trusted U.S. manufacturer of secure printing solutions. The event, held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, brought together senior Ethiopian officials from federal and regional government agencies to explore how U.S.-based Troy Group’s high-security printers, forgery-resistant inks, and document authentication software can further enhance the integrity of official documents.
Acting Deputy Chief of Mission Naomi Fellows joined Mark Bond, Sales Director for Troy Group, and key Ethiopian dignitaries at the event. Mr. Bond provided welcoming remarks, followed by a technology demonstration led by Million Teshome, Manager at BIZET General Trading PLC, Troy’s official partner in Ethiopia.
Troy Group’s entry into the Ethiopian market, facilitated by the U.S. Government, has already yielded significant results.
Key Ethiopian institutions, including the Civil Registration and Residency Service Agency (CRRSA), Document Authentication and Registration Agency (DARA), Berhanena Selam Printing Enterprise (BSPE), and Abay Printing and Paper Packaging, are now utilizing Troy’s technologies. These procurements include secure printers, document authentication software, and high-security consumables, which are crucial for producing documents vital to domestic governance and international interactions, such as U.S. visa and citizenship applications.
