Somali president sees Ethiopia-Somaliland maritime deal as “annexation,” warns against its implementation

In an interview with Al Jazeera, aired this Tuesday, Somalia’s President Hassan Sheik framed Ethiopia’s maritime pact with Somaliland as ‘annexation’ and warned Ethiopia against implementing it.

Furthermore, he defended the Arab League’s involvement and support for Somalia as legitimate, asserting that Somalia is a member of the Arab League.
