Sputnik International News Agency and Radio has held its first SputnikPro session for the Moroccan Center for Strategic Studies and International Relations. The lecture, dedicated to the use of artificial intelligence in the work of a modern news agency, was delivered by Sputnik Arabic Chief Editor Suleiman Wasim.
Mohsen Nadwi, President of the Moroccan Center for Strategic Studies and International Relations, delivered welcoming remarks to the participants, emphasizing the importance of professional exchange between the expert and media communities of Russia and Morocco.
“The value of this initiative lies not only in the chosen topic, but also in the project’s ability to build bridges between academic research and practical media expertise, as well as to promote dialogue between institutions, experts and researchers,” Nadwi said.
During the lecture, Suleiman Wasim spoke about the possibilities of using artificial intelligence tools in the day-to-day work of a news agency. Participants discussed the use of new technologies in preparing and processing news content, analyzing information and working with multimedia materials.
Special attention was also paid to the changes that the development of AI is bringing to modern media, as well as to issues related to the reliability of information, professional ethics and journalistic responsibility.
The Moroccan Center for Strategic Studies and International Relations was founded in 2013. The Center conducts research in political science, international relations and other fields, and also organizes academic conferences, expert discussions and international events.
SputnikPro is a project of the Sputnik international news agency and radio network designed for journalists, students at specialized universities, press service employees and media managers. It is aimed at exchanging professional experience and developing ties with international colleagues. Sputnik media managers and invited experts serve as speakers for the project’s modules. SputnikPro sessions cover various aspects of journalism, including multimedia content production, social media work and the development of digital media.
Since 2018, in-person SputnikPro meetings have been held in 25 countries, while online sessions have reached participants in more than 80 countries. The project has attracted more than 15,000 participants.
