Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – The “Invest Ethiopia 2025” Business Forum officially opened in Addis Ababa, bringing together key government leaders, international investors, and development partners for high-level discussions aimed at promoting sustainable economic growth and positioning Ethiopia as a premier investment destination in Africa.
The forum was inaugurated in the presence of President Sahle-Work Zewde, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Demeke Mekonnen, Prosperity Party Vice President Adem Farah, Finance Minister Ahmed Shide, and other senior government officials, according to the Ethiopian News Agency (ENA).
Organized by the Ethiopian Investment Commission in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and various development partners, the forum aims to highlight new investment opportunities, showcase Ethiopia’s strong commitment to economic reform, and announce upcoming policy improvements.
It was reported that prominent global and domestic companies, business leaders, policymakers, intermediaries, and members of the diplomatic community are participating in the forum, which is being held for the third time.
The event underscores Ethiopia’s ambition not only to be a leading investment hub in Africa but also to build a resilient and inclusive economy. Forum objectives include attracting new investments, demonstrating strong government support for the sector, and unveiling updates to investment policies.
