Toronto – A short video clip of Getachew Reda’s appearance on Aljazeera’s “Head To Head” Show with Mehdi Hassen was trending on social media among Ethiopians for several days now.

He was grilled for “defending Abiy Ahmed” over “Genocide in Tigray.”

The full content of the interview is now published and it does not seem to be the case that “he defended Abiy Ahmed.”

Another key point that appears to be worth of mentioning is Getachew’s belief that war between Eritrea and Ethiopia is unlikely.
