Toronto – Fano Forces in Shewa have reportedly engaged the joint force ( Ethiopian Defense Force and militia) in a location about 55 kilometers to the capital Addis Ababa.
According to an Ethiopian Media Services (EMS) report, Government forces have shelled Koremash town, in Hageremariam Kessem district, with heavy artillery indiscriminately.
Nigatu Yitaferu, Deputy Public Relation Head of the Amhara Fano Shoa, told EMS that Fano forces had to withdraw from the town to avoid civilian casualty. However,Fano forces are just outside of the town, holding a military position.
It is also indicated that Hailemariam Mamo Division of Shewa Fano has made a move in Shola Gebeya town with a plan to capture heads of the administration but they managed to escape, according to the spokesperson.
