Toronto – Fano forces are making another claim of major military gain in Minjar area – a location that is within a range of 60 kilometers distance to the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.

Yohannes Nigusu, one of the spokesperson of Amhara Fano National Forces (AFNF), told Anchor Media Assaminew Tsige Command of Fano, Nebelbal Division killed 37 government forces and captured 13 others.

In what was said to be less than two hours of operation, the Fano forces claimed that an entire regiment of government forces posted in the area was routed. Fano forces did not report casualties on their parts.

A new video footage of the Fano forces with captured soldiers and seized firearms is published by Anchor Media and Ethiopian Media Services.

The Ethiopian government has not remarked about the latest claim from Fano forces.

As well, Fano forces are claiming significant military gains further north in the Tekezze area between Lasta and South Gondar. At least 4 government soldiers are reportedly killed.
