Fano Leaders Great Trek to Quara – where a covenant was signed

The Great Trek to Quara

Borkena

Toronto – Earlier month, four major groups of Amhara fano forces operating in different parts of the Amhara region of Ethiopia announced a major merger and the formation of Amhara Fano National Force (AFNO).

The last stage of the consultation and the meeting that gave rise to it took place in the historic Quara – Gondar. Historic because it is from where one of the great Ethiopian leaders, Emperor Tewodros II who started as a humble rebel in Quara when he was known as Kassa Hailu.

The Fano leaders from different parts of the region have undertaken long and arduous treks to make it to Quara – and in a combat ready form. Warkaw Mere Wodajo from Wollo, Desalegne Siasbeshewa from Shewa, Habte Wolde from Gondar, Asres Mare and Zemene Kassie from Shewa made are part of this historic event. The event and outcome of it is recorded in Fano’s history as the “Quara Covenant.”

Some of the leaders had to endure more than 10 days of non-stop trek under difficult circumstances.

The following video from Free Press features the trek and the outcome of it. Watch it and share your views in the comment section.

  1. What do you call a 13 person led group? It’s an insult to us Amharas that you would want us to accept something that is not fit to manage its way out of a paper bag.
Did they gather on the Sudan border or Quara?
Was TPLF managing this 13 command post group?
What is the leadership structure ? Who is responsible and accountable … the 13?
በእውነት ላይ ያልተመሰረተ በደቦ የሚመራ ስብስብ ምን ይባላል።

A promotional sizzle reel? Really? Is this how desperate you are? Don’t underestimate the Amhara people to see through the lies.

Both Asres Tefera Mamao and Mihret have said in interviews that they are willing to ally with the TPLF? This goes against the principles that the Amahra people are fighting for. The reason Amhara Fano rose is due to the ethnic apartheid constitution written by the TPLF which in turn is the root cause of the Amhara genocide.
Beaden AKA Amhara PP and other mortal enemies of the Amhara people would be willing to ally themselves with TPLF.

    • You don’t know what you are talking about. What gives you the right to talk about Fano forces while you are sitting in your warm home without sacrificing a thing? Please keep quite Fano forces know what they are doing, you don’t.
