Toronto – It has been nearly two weeks since the Defense Force launched what it called “Operation Tide.” The objective was to “eliminate” Fano forces once and for all.
There have been similar operations with similar objectives in the past. However, they did not seem to have achieved their objectives.
Reports from many areas in the Amhara region of Ethiopia seem to suggest that the fate of “operation tide” is not different. The plan to end the mission by July 7 or 8 has not succeeded.
On the other hand, Fano forces continue to make claims of significant military gains from this round of the operation. Marshet Tsehaytu, spokesperson of Amhara Fano in Gojjam, soke to Ethiopian Media Services, and he claims a major fano victory in Dembecha area of Gojjam.
