Ethiopian Defense Force has been making claims that it has weakened Fano forces. But sources with links in Ethiopia do not seem to confirm that. Fano Forces are still operating in most parts of the region and inflicting harm on government troops.
This week, there was a reported fighting between Fano and government forces in South Gondar. Eyasu Abate, deputy spokesperson for Fano Gondar, spoke to EMS.
