Toronto – The International Organization For Migration (IOM) this week reported a tragic boat accident which was carrying migrants on the shores of Yemen. It was carrying over 142 Ethiopian migrants. 12 have survived the accident. The remaining are presumed to be dead.
This is the second major accident in the same migration route in less than six months. Most of the victims are said to be from the Tigray region of Ethiopia.
Four members of Ethiopian opposition parties have this week released a joint statement expressing their griefs.Anchor media spoke to Getenet Worku, Public relation head of Enat Party, and Tatek Assefa, Public Relation Head of All Ethiopian Unity Party (AEUP).
