Toronto – Pro-government cadres have been in a celebrating mood on social media that Masresha Setie, a fano leader who was operating in Gojjam under the umbrella of Amhara Fano Popular Organization (AFPO) has surrendered.
However, based on claims from some of the leaders of the organization, Masresha Setie, was earlier terminated from leadership due to alleged clandestine connection with the ruling Prosperity Party.
Abiy Ahmed’s administration has been making claims that it has contact with some of the Fano leaders without specifying further details.
Geta Asrade and Ashagrie Bayeh, both top leaders of AFPO, spoke to Anchor Media this week on why they “suspended” Masresha.
