 reportedly arrested General Geush Gebre - commander of "Army 15" in Tigray region of Ethiopia){kind=link}

Addis Ababa – Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) has reportedly arrested General Geush Gebre, who was the commander of what is called “Army 15” – a division of what the administration in the region calls Tigray Defense Force.
Sources with links to the Tigray region of Ethiopia reported that he was arrested on Saturday in Adigrat, where he was posted as commander of his forces.
According to Social media sources, the region’s Peace and Security Office head, General Fesseha Kidanu, is cited as saying that “no one is above the law,” in a way confirming the arrest.
As well, sources are claiming that General Geush was attacked after he resisted orders to hand over his shotgun. It is not immediately known if he was in a life-threatening situation or if he is in hospital.
He was one of the few military generals who is said to have opposed alliance with the Eritrean government.
There have been voices that the Eritrean government was “involved in a genocide in Tigray” during the two years bloody war between the TPLF led Tigray regional administration and Federal government with whom the Eritrean government has a political and military alliance.
There have been reports that he opposes the new military and political alliance between the TPLF and Eritrean government. There are speculations that his removal and attack could be related to the Eritrean government decision. It is alleged that the Eritrean government has a strong influence on the Debretsion led faction of the TPLF. However, the Eritrean government has been denying activity within Tigray and the alliance with TPLF – which is known as Tsemdo.
News reports over the past few months indicated that the TPLF has been preparing for war against the Federal government in alliance with the Eritrean government.
