A delegation led by H.E Melaku Alebel, Minister of Industry of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, participated on the 8th BRICS Industry Ministers Meeting on August 16, 2024, in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. The theme of the meeting was “Strengthening multilateralism for equitable global development and security”.
At the sideline of the meeting, Minister Melaku and his delegation had bilateral meetings with Russia’s Minister of Trade and Industry, H.E Anton Alikhanov. On the occasion, the two sides agreed to enhance their cooperation in capacity building and promotion of partnership between the prospective private sectors of the two countries.
H.E Melaku also held bilateral meetings with H.E Mr. Xin Guobin, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China and H.E Mr. Fernando Elias Rosa Marcio, the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Industry of Federative Republic of Brazil. The countries agreed to work together on multilateral issues and create a common plan to boost the industry sector.
