Eskinder Nega Abiy Ahmed

The parallel actions and motivations of Eskinder Nega and Abiy Ahmed warrant careful scrutiny. Both claim Amhara heritage, yet their actions often contradict traditional Amhara values and aspirations. I will examine several key areas of concern.

First, both individuals exhibit a pronounced thirst for power, leveraging religious sentiment to garner support. This strategic manipulation of faith undermines genuine religious devotion and raises ethical questions regarding the pursuit of political influence.

Second, their leadership styles are questionable. Eskinder Nega, despite presenting himself as a Fano leader, demonstrates a limited understanding of Fano’s organizational structure and operational capabilities. Abiy Ahmed’s purported recognition of Eskinder Nega as the sole Fano leader, appears to be a symbolic gesture, potentially misleading the Amhara population and undermining genuine leadership within the Fano movement. This perceived manipulation is a significant betrayal of the Amhara people’s trust.

Third, both leaders operate with a pattern of duplicity. They project an image of benevolence and compassion while secretly maneuvering to undermine opponents and consolidate their own power. This pattern of covert actions erodes public confidence and fuels instability. Their refusal to acknowledge valid counterarguments, even when presented with irrefutable evidence, further underscores their lack of commitment to collaborative problem-solving. Their reliance on deception and manipulation to achieve their goals raises serious concerns about their leadership integrity.

Fourth, the lack of tangible military achievements by Eskinder Nega casts doubt on his suitability to lead the Fano. Claims of commanding a significant armed force remain unsubstantiated, prompting concerns that he may be negotiating a surrender to the Abiy Ahmed regime rather than actively engaging in combat. This suspected collaboration poses a serious threat to Fano’s effectiveness and the Amhara struggle.

Finally, the potential for internal conflict and fragmentation within Fano as a result of Eskinder Nega’s actions requires immediate attention. His actions suggest he is a divisive figure, prioritizing personal ambition over the unity and strength of the Fano movement. The need for credible and unifying leadership within the Fano movement is paramount.

These observations highlight the urgent need for careful consideration of the roles and actions of both Eskinder Nega and Abiy Ahmed, and the impact their actions have on the Amhara people and the Fano movement. The long-term stability and well-being of the Amhara people depend on ensuring authentic and accountable leadership.

  1. Hold on for a second .. you expect us to take seriously ‘Nama Nekemte” such a well known and articulate writer whom we hold in such high regard.
The more you ‘Nama’ and these groups and their underlings keep these useless and farcical attacks on the currently established Amhara institution/organization called AFPO the more they reveal themselves as:
    1) anti amhara
    2) anti Ethiopia
    3) anti EOTC
    4) pro-Prosperty Gospel
    5) pro regionalism (ጎጠኞች)
Keep it up Nama, uncle Yonaass, Adenagrachew, Asmesay Mekonnen et al

  2. Nama is just a pen name. If any one does not agree with the article, in stead of catagorically rejecting it as anti something or by associating the article with some notable names, flesh out the arguments put forward against Eskindir and raise plausable points based on logic and facts. I have found the above aricle totally acceptable. Can you mention any tangible mission accomplished under Eskindir Nega leadership except creation of division and weaking of the struggle to capture power at any cost? I know it never happens but imagine if eskindir come to power how he becomes another Abiy.
