Toronto – Lema Wondaferew, security and peace office head of Shewarobit, in the Amhara region of Ethiopia killed on Friday.
He was killed along with his guards in Kebele 03 locality of the town.
Gunmen are said to be behind the killing. Fano forces extensively operate in the region. However, Amhara Fano National Force (AFNF) did not admit not confirm it is behind the killing although it has shared the story on its social media page.
Shewarobit city administration has not disclosed any further information regarding the killing.
There had been a similar killing of officials in the city about years or so ago.
