12 Passengers reportedly killed while in the Bus

Toronto – A passenger’s pass that was travelling between Amhara region to Addis Ababa was reportedly abducted in the Gohatsion area of the Oromia region. It happens along the Addis Ababa – Gojjam road.
Coalition for Ethiopian Unity (CEU), a coalition of four major opposition parties, reported a passengers bus known locally as “Tata” with full of passengers was abducted on Thursday around 10:30 a.m. at Kerebuha kebele – located 6 kilometers from Gohatsion town in Oromia region. The location is said to be the second deadliest abduction spot next to Alidoro where over 40 passengers were abducted last week.
From reports so far, 12 passengers were shot dead while still in the bus. The remaining passengers are reportedly taken to nearby jungles. It is not immediately clear if the bodies of those killed in the attack are taken care of.
The party cited residents from the area to report that government structures in the area are actively involved in the tragic incident. Residents say that they are officials with less than 10,000 Ethiopian birr monthly income but own three or four residential homes and multiple sino-trucks.
The government usually links abductions and killings to Oromo Liberation Army (OLA), Shane as it refers to it, a militant ethnic Oromo nationalist group.
The coalition called for an immediate and unconditional release of those abducted.
The government has not remarked about the incident at the time of this writing.
There has been a recurring attack on passenger buses, travelling from Amhara region to Addis Ababa or the other way, in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. And there does not seem to be an end to it as the government fails to take action.

It’s such a harsh environment is going on, eight/8/ years in row!!! Killings! Abduction! Jailing! Kidnapping! Disappearing!….
What’s should be done; my fellow citizens of Ethiopia ??? It’s extremely painful!!!
This is very serious & dangerous regarding the wellbeing and security of our country & its naturally humble people;
If the atrocities continues like this, we will all disappear one day.
It’s contrary to the Ethiopian cultural,welcoming people; and living side by side without never mentioning from where you come from, or which ethnic group you belong to. As the Gospel & Quran,are to be preached all over the World, without the restriction of any boundaries; and mentioning of who we’re & to make any movement from place to place should never be restricted and confronted with such extreme brutality!!!
My housemaiden is an Oromo girl of 17 years old; kind and humble, from Gebreguracha,where exactly this horror act has taken place. I asked her why such atrocities happening?
Of course, she cited about “Shene”, to be carried out by them. A part that, what shocks me most was that she was told that Amharas are Breast- mutilators. I replied her; I myself am not Amhara, but, by no means Amharas cannot mutilate breasts because they are Christians, & God fearing people; we never heard of such kind of barbarity of cruel act about them. If there are in case, any Amhara, who did such kind of barbarism, could be questioned &singled out for such kind of horror; but you cannot make all Amharas accountable and hate them!
Onece again,I asked her if she believes if the Amharas has done it? she naively replied yes I believe. With such a word, I have learned that also for sure most of the youngsters could be Extremized or brainwashed by such false, & fake propaganda so that the people will be radicalized and cover all the wicked horror & hatred be able to continue as we see it today.
AI heard, a radicalized young man killed his mother by knife into pieces, because, she opposed him to be a member of ‘Shene,’. Another guy in Guji, Oromia also a radicalized ‘Shene’, killed his father by string of a cable bound him hand and legs and threw him in a thatched roof small farmer house closed the door behind him, burnt his father alive. The reason behind this killings was his father strongly opposed that he was a member of “Shene”. I think we heard him giving his testimony at the verdict!
How could we tackle such kind of abomination? Unfortunately, the government looks as if they are behind the curtain of inciting the people towards such malicious Act???
This atrocities for sure could be resolved if we have a government who sacrifice for along standing, and enduring peace in Ethiopia to teach and instruct the biased people from false Propaganda and Fake News otherwise, it will devour itself!!
Teach! Teach! The people incessantly to avoid this extremity of wickedness!! Otherwise, the atrocities never ceased to expand…& at the very end, it will devour you yourselves!!!
