Toronto – Ethiopia’s Ministry of Finance on Thursday announced invitation for expression of interest for real estate developers for a projects in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
It is inviting expressions of interest for eight development sites. The project is intended to be Mixed residential and commercial buildings, the ministry said.
It is based on the tenets of neoliberal creed “private-public-partnership” (PPP). The government will be part of it although the percentage of it is unspecified at this time.
The government claims that the projects ” aim to improve living conditions and meet the growing demand for housing in the city.”
According to a release from the Ministry, the project will have residential units for low and middle income families. The percentage of units allocated for the purpose is unclear.
The Ministry requested interested applicants to submit expressions of interest by June 1,2026.
