The appointments came as the war in the Amhara region of Ethiopia continues despite government claims that over 90 percent of the armed groups are “annihilated.” As well, the conflict between Oromo Liberation Army and the Federal government continues unabated for over six years.
The tension with Eritrea is worsening to a point that officials from both countries are trading accusations. Two Ethiopian Military generals were recently making news after making claims about Assab port which is currently under Eritrean territory. They asserted that Assab has an autonomy status, as was the case with Eritrea, at a time when the Eritrean referendum was administered in 1993. They blame the late Prime MInister Meles Zenawi administration for it. On the other hand, Eritrea rejects the claim as having no historical or legal ground.

None of these promoted military officers are Ethiopians, 25 of them are Eritreans, 15 of them are Sudanese, 10 of them Kenyans and 15 of them are Tutsis just like Field Marshall Berhanu Jula. You want me to prove it to you? I’ve got their birth certificates right here in my hand.
By the way, when are you folks from the mythical country of Ethiopia going to pay up the 200 billion in USA dollars you owe Eritrea for invading that country in 1941 at Keren, in 1952 and 1962 at Asmara and killing 15 million Eritreans? You better cough it up now otherwise you will no longer have your mythical country you call Ethiopia anymore. You dig? You Ethiopians don’t know how to fight, anyway! You run like you do at the Olympics.
you are a comedian, a bit like this website :)
My Dear Brothers and Sisters of Ethiopian Heritage!
After more than 3.2 million years our great, great, infinitive great grandma Lucy has come back. This time she will not spend too much with us on this good earth. It took her so long because she has been very busy tending to her more than 8.2 billion children scattered all over this globe. She is preparing herself to travel into space with her Super Mensa peerless genius great-great grand daughter Space Engineer Emebet Mehabaw. Lucy was the first Ethiopian to walk on earth and our daughter/sister Astronaut Emebet Mehabaw will be the first Ethiopian to go into space on special mission in 2029. That is a mere 4 years from now. It is in my daily prayer that I will still be around to see our daughter waving the flag of the old country along with that of her generous adapted country. I will then sing from top of my lung my old time Fred’s super hit favorite that goes:
Lucy in space,
That is where you are!
Lucy in space,
That is where you are!
Lucy in space,
That is where you are!
A circus of delights, yeah, yeah
Well, that’s what you are
You made us all proud!!!
