Toronto – Amhara Fano Popular Organization (AFPO) has concluded its first organizational congress. Decisions from the congress are announced to the public.
It is one of the two major fano organizations operating in the Amhara region of Ethiopia. The other Fano organization is Amhara Fano National Force (AFNF).
From the video footage Anchor media shared, key leaders of AFPO from across the Amhara region were seen except for Eskinder Nega, who was known to be the leader of the organization.
Apart from sharing updates on the undertakings over the past one year or so, AFPO called on all Fano organizations to work together except for under circumstances where organizations have “harmful” ideological orientation for Ethiopia.
It also called on Ethiopians in the Diaspora and media organizations to support the struggle. In terms of relation with media, the organization has now announced a centralized media relation and media organization will have to be approved by the organization so as to get access to the media unit.
Watch the 14 minutes read out of the decision from the first AFPO congress and share your views in the comment section.
