Eritrea Responds to Allegations From Prosperity Party

Eritrea _

Toronto – Eritrea accuses Ethiopia’s ruling prosperity party of undertaking unending smear campaign.

Yemane Gebremeskel, the Minister for information, took the matter to X platform again ( he has done so a few months ago.”

In this latest remark he said, “PP zealots and trolls (I do not wish to use the new, rather derogatory, moniker: Potemkin Party, that is gaining traction these days) seem to be engrossed in intensive daily campaigns of defamation and demonization against Eritrea.”

His remark came days after the ruling Prosperity Party released a statement insinuating Eritrea of having interest in unending conflict in Ethiopia. The party made a particular reference to the end of the war between the Federal government and what was Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) led Tigray regional government.  The party accused Eritrea, without naming a name, that it wanted the conflict to continue.

The Prosperity party tends to think that Eritrea, by pursuing the continuation of conflict in the country,  is interested in disrupting Ethiopia’s “economic growth.”

Eritrea calls the Prosperity Party’s view of Eritrea’s motive rather a “pathetic” smear campaign.

“In this pathetic campaign, Eritrea’s history, policies, development strategy and potential, as well as regional role continue to be sullied with vindictive and malicious harshness.  The recent refrain revolves around Eritrea’s “perennial ill-will against Ethiopia.. to disrupt its economic progress,” Yemane wrote.

Eritrea argues that it has rather been dealing with imposed conflicts rather than having interest in perpetual conflict.

“Throughout history, Eritrea has invariably been on the receiving end of imposed conflicts and threats by forces who covet its sovereign lands and resources.  Its well-known mantra is and remains, in the historic words of PIA: “we will not relinquish what is ours as we do not covet what belongs to others!…” Yemane Gebreab emphasized in his X message which was published on Monday.

At the time of this writing, the prosperity party government in Ethiopia  has not remarked on the latest response from Eritrea.

  1. I told you my main man Yemane and I go way back, way back for decades. Just look at his photo here. Does he look like a black African? If he looks that way to you, you must see an eye doctor immediately. I told you my homies Yemane, Al-Toweel Isu and others in their inner circle are Black Italians because I have their birth records and DNA test results right here in my hands. So, don’t you dare call them Africans. Pardon me for now cuz I am very busy yanking away Oromia from your ‘distorted’ country of Ethiopia so I can give it to my homies Yemane and Al-Toweel Isu as a New Year’s gift. As my homeboy Al-Towee Isu told you on several occasions in the past, your Ethiopia is a distorted country which makes all of you Ethiopians distorted people. Isu and his men are the only ones who have the skills to do the ‘undistorting’ and that is why I’m gonna give them my Oromia. I’m hell bent in my resolve to make my homies the largest exporters of the much sought Arabica coffee, oil seeds, animal hides, meat, lumber, diamond, platinum, silver, copper, lithium, coltan, titanium and tin. Pardon me for now cuz I’m busting the move with my 1970’s darlin Lyn that takes two thinking about it. You losers!!!
