Toronto – A day after Ethiopia and Somalia ended  the second round of talk regarding the Memorandum of Understanding with Somaliland, Egypt has signed a defense pact with Somalia.

Anadolu Agency (AA) , a Turkish news source, on Wednesday cited the government of Somalia to report  “significant defense agreement between Somalia and Egypt, aimed at bolstering security cooperation between the two brotherly nations.”

Somalian President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, is on a two days state visit to Egypt. He has also visited Eritrea about three times after Ethiopia signed a memorandum of understanding with Somaliland on January 1, 2024.

The Defense agreement between Egypt and Somalia was signed in Cairo following bilateral talks between  Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his Somali counterpart, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

According to the Turkish news source, El-Sisi called the Defense agreement with Somalia “historic.” The source cited him as saying that the “pact is a testament to a future of common defense against international terrorism that Somalia is battling at home and abroad.”

Details of the full extent of the Defense agreement is unclear. But the Somalian president seems to see it as regional and international.

He said , “The agreement serves as a blueprint for the exchange of knowledge and expertise in the pursuit of regional, continental and international peace and security,” as cited in the AA report.

Recently, there was a report that Egypt will be sending troops to Somalia to support “African peacekeeping missions.” Somalia has asked for the withdrawal of Ethiopian Forces from Somalia.

While Ethiopia and Egypt have had a tense relationship for well over a decade now due to the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) , tension with Somalia developed after Ethiopia signed a memorandum of understanding with Somaliland on January 1, 2024.

The deal with Somaliland is not yet completed. When finalized, Ethiopia will get 20 square kilometers of coastal land in Somaliland on a 50 years rental basis which is intended to be used for commercial and maritime purposes.

Historically, both Egypt and Somalia waged war against Ethiopia in the 19th and 20th centuries respectively. Ethiopia managed to reverse invasion from both countries.

  1. I told you! I told you!! I told you!!! The almighty forces of Somalia, Egypt and Ankara from the south and the indomitable forces of Piccolo Roma along with a commando corps from their longtime benefactor Al-Qahirah from the north have converged on Addis/Finfine after eradicating every living, breathing Oromo and Amhara in the country. Af-Mishaar from LA called me this morning and told me he is on his way there to take inventory of the recovered Somali territory that stretched from Dewele to Awash River and from Moyale to Awasa. He will also make sure not a single Amhara and Oromo is left alive. He is taking his side-kick Arsi The Masticator with him to inaugurate the new Somali Abo people. Ethiopia is now gone for good and has been replaced by the new country of Abd-o-malia(niggers joint). It was on national news this evening that more than 100,000 bigots and connivers in Minnesota, Toronto. Michigan, Tennessee, Oslo and Down Under were in the streets celebrating the founding of Abd-o-malia(niggers joint).

  2. We thought slave trade has been prohibited since 1807. But Arab slave traders have not heeded to the law and as you can see el-Sisi is doing a brisk business on the shores of Somalia. He has found slave trade brokers at The Villa Mogadishu with close knit ‘abds/abids’.
