Toronto – A gunman killed three Ethiopians in Cincinnati, Ohio, this past Sunday. Two of the victims are siblings.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Beacon Street and Glade Avenue around 1:30 p.m., according to the report from the Enquirer.
The source cited Cincinnati police to report that “Samuel Ericksen, 26, shot Eden Adugna, 22, Feven Adugna, 20, and Bemnet Deresse, 27, as well as himself, on Aug. 31 near a home at the intersection of Beacon Street and Glade Avenue around 1:30 p.m.”
Eden and Feven reportedly died on the scene. Bemnet died of his bullet wound in hospital.
Police tend to believe that the crime was not a hate crime. The Gunman, according to police, “was romantically interested in one of the three people killed.”
The suspect also shot himself after the three Ethiopians. He died of his wound in hospital on Tuesday, the source reported citing a police news release.
Eden and Fevan Adugna were staff members at Good Samaritan Hospital. The employer has released a statement following the tragic killings of the siblings. Local 12 shared the statement from the hospital. It reads :
“The TriHealth family is devastated by the tragic passing of two cherished Good Samaritan Hospital team members. Their dedication and spirit touched everyone who worked alongside them. Our thoughts are with their families and loved ones during this difficult time, and we remain committed to providing ongoing support to all affected. Counseling support services are available for all TriHealth team members through TriHealth’s Pastoral Care team and Employee Assistance Program.”
The Ethiopian Community in Cincinnati is devastated by the unfortunate killings of three young members of the community, the source added.
The funeral arrangement is not disclosed at the time of this writing.

All these three kids came here looking for opportunities and the pursuit of happiness but their lives was cut short in such heart wrenching tragic way. That makes it doubly saddening. All three are well educated and vital asset to this country but murdered by a savage demon.
My family’s thoughts and prayers are with their loved ones and the Ethiopian community in Cincinnati. May the victims rest in eternal peace!
The media of that city are saying the savage shooter had a ‘romantic interest’ with one of the female victims. What does that mean? Romantic interest could mean just having a crush on someone. They said the murder is not a hate crime. The two sisters has been here for only 7 years, since 2018. The goon did not kill only the one he was interested in but all three of them. The media also do not talk about the background the shooter. What did he do for a living? I hope someone in Cincinnati will read this comment and shed more light for us about this tragic story. Better yet, we would appreciate if the over qualified editors of this esteemed website use their enormous journalistic capabilities and dig more information for us. I don’t know anyone who lives in that city. I’ve had sleepless nights since the story of this barbarism broke out.
Borkena should have published the killer’s photo also. He’s probably white. Why would police so quickly report killer “was romantically interested in one of the three people killed?”

Is there anyone among you who has more information about the demonic shooter? How did he come to know the victims and to what extent? The media there is saying the shooter had ‘romantic interest’ in one of the girls he murdered. What does ‘interest’ mean? Was he just having a crush on her? Three of our well educated young individuals were mowed down all at the same time. I am having nightmares about this barbaric act. Please tell us more with what you know.

I am so late and need to be updated. I missed the vice president condemn the shooter. Did he comment on the gruesome act and how someone who engage in violence will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Did he comment that people want to be safe in their home and the only way to destroy that violence is to take the thug who engage in that violence and throw their asses in prison. I am so late, I missed the savage shooter face plastered everywhere for killing 3 people. I saw suspects in the brawl everywhere and little when 3 people are gunned down.
