Toronto – Getachew Reda’s interview with Mehdi Hassen, which was released sometime last week, has been a talking point among Ethiopians.
There had been divergent views. Some tend to think that Getachew attempted to defend Abiy Ahmed in connection with “Genocide in Tigray.”
Others see that the event was organized in a way to attack Amhara – making it more vulnerable to persecutions in many parts of Ethiopia – particularly in the Oromia and Benishangul Gumuz regions.
The latest remark came from Angargachew Tsege. In an interview with Anchor Media, he went further to make the claim that Getachew Reda and Tsadkan Gebretensae joined the Abiy Ahmed political league probably to support the anti-Amhara campaign.
