TORONTO, Canada — Six armed groups operating in different parts of Ethiopia this week announced the formation of Alliance For Survival with the aim to end what they described as “Abiy Ahmed’s regime.”
The story is widely covered by local and international media outlets. It has generated a great deal of discussion. There are those who express concern that entities like the TPLF and OLA could be a problem.
Yet, there are also those who tend to be optimistic about what the alliance can do. Andargachew Tsege, London based Ethiopian politician, is one of them. In his latest interview with U.S. based Anchor media, he explained why he thinks that the Alliance could short Abiy Ahmed’s administration. It would have been a mistake not to form it, he says.
