Addis Ababa, Ethiopia- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia announced today that Ambassador Binalf Andualem, Ethiopia’s newly appointed Ambassador to the United States, held a formal meeting with U.S. President Donald J. Trump at the White House.
This marks Ambassador Binalf’s first official engagement with President Trump since assuming his diplomatic post. He was received with a ceremonial welcome, symbolizing the enduring and historic ties between Ethiopia and the United States—relations that have lasted for more than 120 years.
According to the Ministry, the meeting signals the start of a series of high-level engagements aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation. Discussions are expected to cover key areas including peace, security, and economic collaboration, highlighting what officials describe as “limitless potential” for strategic partnership between the two nations.
