  1. Today’s number from Dr. Lia is pretty much the same at 144 new cases for last 24 hours on Saturday. But the numbers here in the US are still very high for a weekend sluggish counts. Weekends and holiday number have always been undercounted by thousands and many times by tens of thousands since majority of employees are not at work. What they have been doing is include the lately arriving numbers from the previous weekend days in the Monday’s tally. The fact is the pandemic is on rampage again not necessarily because of the new variant but the overwhelming majority of infections are caused by the already existing Delta variant. So folks, protect yourself and stay safe. This demon is not going anywhere.
