U.S. Ambassador Ervin Massinga and Defense Minister Mohamed Idris address regional threats and domestic peace initiatives

(Nairobi, Kenya) — The U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa announced that Ambassador Ervin Massinga met with Ethiopian Minister of Defense Mohamed Idris to discuss domestic peace initiatives and security challenges in the Horn of Africa.
According to an official diplomatic summary, the bilateral discussions focused on regional security threats and mechanisms for lasting internal stability. Ambassador Massinga emphasized that sustained defense cooperation and structured information sharing remain vital to fostering economic growth, national stability, and peace for all Ethiopian citizens.
