TORONTO, Canada – Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed threatens Eritrea with “severe consequence” if it fails to negotiate. His government has been undertaking a political and military mobilization to pursue Red Sea through negotiation or by force in necessary.
His ultimatum-like demand was revealed in his latest interview in Tigrigna language in which he attempted to deconstruct TPLF politically.
Yet, in the 27 minutes interview he also delved into remarking on Eritrea demeaning the leadership “for failure to develop Eritrea.”
This is Abiy Ahemd’s third interview with state-owned media outlets in less than two months. In the Amharic interview, he attempted to paint a dark image of Fano forces focusing on the population in the Amhara region. In the Oromina language interview, the image he created was a bit different. He was posing as the champion of Oromo cause and that all these demands have been addressed, and that the people should support “its government.”
His latest interview targets the people in Tigray and Eritrea. Watch the interview and share your views in the comment section.
