A reported federal drone strike in the Hintalo district of Ethiopia’s Tigray region leaves three members of the same family dead, including a toddler

TORONTO, Canada — The Ethiopian government has continued to carry out drone strikes in the Tigray region.
According to sources from the region, three civilians were killed following a drone strike in the Hintalo district, which occurred around 2:30 a.m.
The victims, including a toddler, belonged to the same family, and the residential home targeted in the attack sustained severe damage.
The federal government had not remarked at the time of this writing.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s administration has conducted drone strikes in the region for months, maintaining that targets are military. However, regional reports have confirmed instances where civilian infrastructure, including schools and health centers, was impacted during operations.
