Borkena, Toronto — Ethiopian Airlines on Sunday announced that its cargo division was named winner of the 2026 Asia Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Award.
The award recognizes service excellence for best cargo service in Africa and is based on votes from industry stakeholders and customers.
It credited the achievement to customers, partners, and the Ethiopian Airlines team.
“Driven by continuous investment in world-class infrastructure, strategic partnerships, and innovative logistics solutions, Ethiopian Airlines continues to strengthen global supply chains and connect businesses across continents,” the airline said in a brief message shared on its social media page.
Ethiopian Airlines has received numerous service excellence awards for passenger service. In May this year, it received the APEX 2026 Best Airline in Africa Award.
The airline has consistently expanded its services and fleet over the past two decades. It currently serves over 160 global and domestic destinations.
It has embarked on a mega project this year to build Africa’s largest airport, Bishoftu International Airport, with a cost estimated at over $12 billion. It is expected to be completed by 2030.
Working on its strategic plan “Vision 2035,” the airline aims to become one of the top 20 most competitive and leading aviation groups in the world.

What can I say? When an enterprise is managed and run by geniuses from top to bottom, the even the sky is not the limit. This pride of Africa has been hauling away and hoarding countless awards over the years and now it may be having logistic problems. It may not have or find a display and storage room big enough to do so. Right on brothers and sisters!!!
