Borkena, Toronto – Sources with claims of links to the Amhara Fano National Movement (AFNM) report an intense war between Fano forces and government forces in the Amhara region of Ethiopia, particularly in Dega Damot area of Gojjam.
It is reported that fighting has been underway from four directions for more than six days now. The latest from the side of the Ethiopian Defense Force was a claim that it has killed 230 Fano forces in a span of a week which Fano did not remark about. On Thursday, Menelik Command of AFNM made counter claims that 420 government forces joined Fano in less than a week.
