Over 300 Ethiopian government forces killed, Fano says

Borkena, Toronto, June 21, 2026 – Fano forces are claiming another major military victory in Wollega, Oromia region of Ethiopia.
Asres Mare Damtie, Head of Amahra Fano National Movement (AFNM), on Saturday said the Bizamo Division of its forces annihilated two regiments of the Ethiopian Defense Force on Friday.
“The 3rd and 5th regiments of the 60th division of the central command are entirely annihilated,” he wrote.
It was a nine hour long operation. It started from 8 a.m. and lasted until 5 p.m. local time.
According to Fano forces, 306 government soldiers were killed and 43 soldiers captured. 6 of them are senior military officers.
Furthermore, it is claimed that 120 AK 47 , 1 Dshk, 4 Bren machine guns and thousands of ammunition were seized.
The claim is not independently verified.
The Ethiopian Defense has not remarked about the latest claim of Fano forces.
