Toronto – There has been an allegation that Mustafa Mohammed is clandestinely working for Greater Somalia project – a reminiscent of Mohamed Siad Barre’s vision that led to Somalia’s invasion of Ethiopia in the late 70’s and a bloody war.
Musfata, who seems to have a strong support base in Ethiopia’s Somali region, dispels rumors of attachment to the Greater Somalia Nationalist creed. His detractors accuse him of being a secessionist leader.
The allegation was based on a doctored audio clip of his speech in Nairobi and another remark he made in connection with a possible restoration of TPLF to power.
He has also addressed questions over alleged abuse of non-ethnic Somali Ethiopians living in the region. He argues there is no systemic discrimination practices but there could be “radical elements” in the society as is the case elsewhere.

I agree with Brother Mustafa. The stupid and bigoted idea of ‘Greater Somalia’ has been in the morgue for more than 4 decades now. It exists in some hapless connivers camped out in Minnesota. It had died on its own accord there in Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia itself.
