Trump’s decision is conditional on Iran’s agreement to “completely” open Strait of Hormuz

Toronto – U.S. president Donald Trump on Tuesday said that he is suspending the bombing of Iran.
He added that his decision is conditional on Iran’s agreement for a “complete, immediate and safe opening of the Strait of Hormuz.”
He is linking his relation to an apparent mediation effort from Pakistan.
In a message on his Truth social media, Trump wrote :
“Based on conversations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, of Pakistan, and wherein they requested that I hold off the destructive force being sent tonight to Iran, and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks. This will be a double sided CEASEFIRE! The reason for doing so is that we have already met and exceeded all Military objectives, and are very far along with a definitive Agreement concerning Longterm PEACE with Iran, and PEACE in the Middle East. We received a 10 point proposal from Iran, and believe it is a workable basis on which to negotiate. Almost all of the various points of past contention have been agreed to between the United States and Iran, but a two week period will allow the Agreement to be finalized and consummated. On behalf of the United States of America, as President, and also representing the Countries of the Middle East, it is an Honor to have this Longterm problem close to resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

Days ago Trump gave Iran a 48 hour deadline to open the Strait of Hourmuz or Iran will be returned to “stone age” with unprecedented bombing.
Several hours before Trump’s latest social media message, Pakistani president, Shehbaz Shari, asked Trump to extend his deadline.
He wrote on his X message :
“Diplomatic efforts for peaceful settlement of the ongoing war in the Middle East are progressing steadily, strongly and powerfully with the potential to lead to substantive results in near future. To allow diplomacy to run its course, I earnestly request President Trump to extend the deadline for two weeks. Pakistan, in all sincerity, requests the Iranian brothers to open Strait of Hormuz for a corresponding period of two weeks as a goodwill gesture. We also urge all warring parties to observe a ceasefire everywhere for two weeks to allow diplomacy to achieve conclusive termination of war, in the interest of long-term peace and stability in the region. “
Iran has been following a pattern of escalation over the past few weeks targeting U.S. military bases and assets in the region, Israel and closing the Strait of Hormuz.
Its closure has triggered fuel shortage across the world leading to soaring prices of up to three times higher that it was before the war about six weeks ago. Earlier this month, Trump claimed in a live message to the nation that “we near completion of core strategic objective.”
Iran calls Trump’s decision a victory. Iran’s government news source, Tasnim, on Tuesday reported “US President Donald Trump retreated from his previous threat against Iran’s infrastructures, and agreed to use Iran’s 10-Point proposal as a basis for further negotiations.”
However, Iran is yet to release detailed information about the ten points agreement.

These days, we are all preoccupied with what has been going on between Iran, Israel and USA. As the consequence of the conflict we are feeling the pinch at the pump. Let’s hope it will not be as severe as in 1973. But there is another tragedy in the offing that will involve our countrymen and women who live in Lebanon. Let’s all of us have them in our prayers and render them any help they need in every way we can. I also call upon all human rights organizations to include these immigrants in their priority list for providing the life saving endeavor. May The Good Lord blanket them from being caught up in the crossfire of this brutal bloody conflict!!! This also includes those who live in the Arabian Peninsula.
