Toronto – The National Bank of Ethiopia on Monday announced that Woizero. Weynshet Zeberga is appointed as Chief Markets & Operations Officer.
She has served as Director, Monetary and Financial Analysis Directorate in the bank. A graduate of Mekelle University, she has also served as Research Officer at National Bank of Ethiopia.
The bank has also named Robel Tesfaye as “Chief Technology Officer.”
“We extend our warmest congratulations to both leaders. Their expertise, dedication, and vision will play a pivotal role in strengthening our institution and advancing Ethiopia’s financial sector,” NBE said in a brief statement it shared on its social media page.

Whenever I hear/read stories about our women taking charge at any position in the regimes or private systems, it is soul feeding music to my ears as if Miles Davis and Ali Birra are giving joint concert with me sitting at the front row.
