78 other government forces reportedly killed from the operation in Bistima, Worebabo

Toronto – Fano forces under the leadership of Miheret Wodajo (aka Mere Wodajo) have reported a major military gain over government forces in North Wollo area of the Amhara region of Ethiopia.
The operation is attributed to Menelik Command. This particular Fano force in the area is under the umbrella organization Amhara Fano National Force (AFNF) – East Amhara zone.
The PR section of the Fano Command said it launched the operation on September 24 starting early morning targeting five cores of the North East Command of the Defense Force.
Fano said the operation started as early as 6 a.m.

It claimed that it had killed 137 government soldiers. Over 280 others including a commander with a rank of colonel (whose name is unspecified) is reportedly captured from the operation in the Beklo Manekia area.
Furthermore, Fano announced that it had killed the head of the Beklo Manekia district administration, Ayalew Delele. His colleagues whose identity and number is unspecified are also killed in the operation.
A military camion is seized. Over 7,000 Bren machine gun ammunition, over 9,000 AK 47 ammunition, over 1,300 Dsk ammunition, two mortars and two machine guns have been seized.
A newly released video footage trending on social media purportedly shows hundreds of captured government soldiers and seized firearms from the operation.
Another unit of Fano forces known as “Bale Shirtu” has reportedly launched an operation in Worebabo. Bistima, head of the district, South Wollo. As many as 78 government forces are killed and 53 others wounded, Fano claimed.
There were few other operations in North Wollo this week. Wondach town of Gidan district in North Wollo fell under the control of Fano forces. Zobel Amba division of Fano forces claimed that it has seized over 22,000 ammunition and over 102 hand grenades.
Over 100 government forces were killed from military operations in the four fronts in the area. 150 others are reportedly wounded.
The Defense Force has not yet remarked on the latest claims including ones with video footage evidence of captured soldiers.
However, unconfirmed citizen reports emerging on social media say Let. General Assefa Chekol, Commander of the North East Command of the Defense Force, is reportedly under House arrest in connection with the devastating loss of government forces in North Wollo.
