Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – The National Dialogue Commission stated that it has formally requested, via letter, the participation of influential members of the diaspora from various backgrounds to help with agenda-setting.
The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission (ENDC) announced that it is finalizing preparations to collect agendas and elect representatives in North America and Canada. The process is expected to take place in the coming weeks.
Commission spokesperson, Ato Tibebu Tadesse, stated that diaspora community institutions, associations, and individuals who are known for their political stances were specifically named and asked to participate.
In a press briefing given to the media, the spokesperson stated that agenda collection in North America, Canada, and other countries is needed to engage influential groups with diverse political views.
He added that the commission will provide various registration options and facilitate the participation of those who register. The commission said that registration is needed to arrange meeting venues and other logistics.
Nearly two weeks ago, in a video message, Professor Mesfin Araya, the chief commissioner of the commission, said the commission is set to collect the agenda from the diaspora in Washington, D.C. from August 23 to 31, 2025.

I am 100 percent certain that these bigots and connivers who are hell bent in carving out a territory/territories will have one demand in the agenda. First ‘Ethiopia must leave and out of Oromia, Tigray, Gondar and Gojjaam, especially and this is an absolute must, settlers must leave Oromia now. Then Ethiopia must change its current name that was concocted out of myth (you can ask Al-Toweel Isu about it) and should never stand on the way of those ‘never regretting’ that are to be the new honchos of Oromia. Problems solved! You see how easy it is? You could have asked me a long time ago. You’re wasting a lot of money that you could have given that to me. Btw, make sure to pick up a copy of my latest book written in English. Volume II is coming soon, so be on a lookout. Did you see the latest BMW X7? It’s so serene and rides like butter.
