Tadesse Worede Points Finger At the Federal  Gov’t

Toronto – The political situation in the Tigray is far from showing signs of stability. Rather tension is rising as the TPLF is making a military move to take control of the region.

Tadesse Worede, President of the Interim Administration, does not seem to be in a position to stop the TPLF.

In fact, there have been accusations in the region that he is leaning towards TPLF.  He would not have been in the position he is currently holding had there been opposition from TPLF.

This week, protests broke out in Maichew and Mehoni as the TPLF under Debretsion Gebremicael attempted a forceful take over of the administrations in what is called “South Tigray” – where the other faction of the TPLF under Getachew – which later formed Semret Party – is said to be strong support base.

Tadesse Worede remarked in response to the developments this week. He is pointing finger elsewhere. “There is a deliberate attempt to make government structure in the region dysfunctional,” he reportedly said.
