Toronto – A new video footage of Keneni Adugna, an Ethiopian Tik Tok sensation who was killed in March this year, has triggered anger among Ethiopians.
Activists and Ethiopian social media users, from the country, are calling for “justice.” The video leaked to social media months after her death purportedly shows her face with bruises – apparently recorded after she was beaten. She was seen singing Ethiopian music expressing a hurt feeling.
Her fiancé Andualem Gossa, with whom she had been living, was the suspect in her death but was released in what appears to be a murky arrangement. When he appeared at Arada First Instance court in April this year, police claimed that it was “gathering evidence.”
What is known so far is that she “killed herself” on March 10 around 4 a.m. after falling from the 5th floor of Wudassie Condo of Lemi Kura sub city of Addis Ababa
The lawyer is arguing that Keneni Adugna killed herself. “The autopsy result shows that the victim died after falling from the building. The body was not thrown to the ground after she was killed.”
Andualem Gossa’s lawyer argued, back in April this year, “The autopsy result shows that the victim died after falling from the building. The body was not thrown to the ground after she was killed,” as reported by Borkena at the time.
Hachalu Hundessa Foundation has reportedly revoked the Award to Andualem Gossa this week in what appears to be a reaction to a shocking video footage circulating on social media.
At this point, more and more questions are emerging in a way expressing suspicion that Kenedi did not kill herself. She was about five months pregnant when she died.
Ethiopian police has not released any update regarding the case.

Some people from Oromia region are known to have anger issues. Which city is Andualem Gossa from?
People around the world have anger issues all the time, and it has nothing to do with the region or city (their origin). Can we think and comment without linking everything to ethnicity for a change? A mind is a terrible thing to waste even this one. God help and saves this country as its citizen are not capable of doing it! I hate to say it but, its salvation requires divine intervention.
