ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA – The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) announced today a significant achievement in deposit mobilization, collecting over 515 billion Birr in new deposits during the recently concluded 2024/25 fiscal year. This brings the bank’s total deposits to an unprecedented 1.69 trillion Birr.
Abe Sano, President of CBE, commented on the milestone: “I am delighted to announce that our bank successfully mobilized over 515 billion Birr in deposits by the end of June 2025, marking a new historical record for CBE. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this great success!”
The CBE expressed its gratitude to its customers, stating, “Our sincere thanks go to our valued customers who have placed their trust in our bank and worked with us. This success is the combined result of your support and tireless efforts.”
The bank also acknowledged the significant contribution of its Board of Directors and management for their guidance and support in achieving this milestone.
